PREMIER PLAY

Rescheduled MOCS Open This Saturday – Win a Seat at the Pro Tour & MOCS Showcase!

Due to unforeseen technical issues, last Saturday’s MOCS Open event has been moved to this Saturday, December 27 at 7 a.m. PT. Featuring Magic: The Gathering® | Avatar: The Last Airbender™ Sealed Deck with a Top 8 Draft, this is your opportunity to spike a tournament for a big payoff!

Entry Options are 40 Event Tickets or 400 Play Points and prizes are paid out to the Top 64.

In addition to reaching the Champions Showcase on Friday, January 9 (with its $50,000 prize pool and two invitations to the 2026 World Championship), the winner of each Showcase Qualifier is invited to the Pro Tour Secrets of Strixhaven in May plus the set of Regional Championships in January-March feeding that event.

The final batch of Leaderboard Points are up for grabs in this event, and the two highest finishers on the Leaderboard snag At-Large invites to the Showcase.

Our intrepid team of Digital Event Coordinators will also be on hand inside the game during the Opens to lend a hand if something goes awry. To contact a DEC, click the Chat button in the top-right corner of the Home Scene, choose Create/Join New Chat …, then type in #DEC and press Enter to join the room.

Week of Super Qualifiers Starts Friday!

It’s time for one of our most exciting weeks of the year ... the Week of Super Qualifiers!

Four tabletop Regional Championship invitations are at stake in each of these five events that kick off this Friday.

Note, there has been a schedule change caused by the rescheduled MOCS Open.

It takes 40 Event Tickets, 400 Play Points, or 40 Season 1 Qualifier Points to enter a Super Qualifier. You can also enter one of these events with 2 Mythic Event Tokens (don’t worry – you'll keep All-Access even if you spend the Tokens).

The Top 4 finishers in each Super Qualifier earn a seat at the April-June RC round that feeds Pro Tour Amsterdam, and prizes pay out to the top 128!

ALL THINGS CUBE

32-Player Vintage Cube Elimination Events Start Today

As an extra set of bonus events over the holidays, Magic Online is pleased to bring back 32-Player Vintage Cube Elimination Drafts. These scheduled tournaments consist of four 8-player pods with two rounds of play, followed by the eight surviving competitors drafting again and playing down to a single winner. 

Here are the details:

32-Player Vintage Cube Elimination Draft
Start Time: December 23 to January 4, every four hours between 6:30 a.m. PT and 6:30 p.m. PT (14:30 same-day and 2:30 next-day UTC). The first event will fire today at 10:30 a.m. Check the Magic Online client for any updates to this cadence.

Format: Single-Elimination Vintage Cube Booster Draft. This event is Phantom – cards opened will not be added to Collections.

Structure: Draft, then 2 rounds, 25 minutes per player per round. After Round 2, remaining players will draft again with 3 rounds.

Entry Options: 15 Event Tickets OR 150 Play Points

Prizes:

• 1^st – 600 Play Points, 20 Treasure Chests, and 12 Season 1 MOCS Qualifier Points
• 2^nd – 500 Play Points, 10 Treasure Chests, and 6 QPs
• 3^rd-4^th - 400 Play Points, 6 Treasure Chests, and 3 QPs
• 5^th-8^th - 300 Play Points, 3 Treasure Chests, and 1 QP

Premodern Challenge Schedule This Week

Looking for some good competition in our newest game mode? We’ve shifted our Premodern Challenges and added a couple to help the format find a sweet spot. Here’s the slate of Challenges for the next two weeks:

• Thursday at 9 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC)
• Friday at 1 p.m. PT (21:00 UTC)
• Saturday at 3:30 p.m. PT (23:30 UTC)
• Sunday at 2 a.m. PT (10:00 UTC)
• Tuesday at 9 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC) starting December 30

Our goal over the holidays is to establish the best start times for the Premodern community, so that when All-Access ends next week, we have 3-4 dependable time slots across the weekly schedule. 

Pack Wars! Zendikar Rising

Attention Limited fans: We've taken a long-time favorite of Magic at big conventions and brought it into Magic Online. There are some who call it Mini-Master, but on Magic Online it’s Pack Wars!

Tomorrow, Zendikar Rising takes the spotlight until January 7.

There are two different flavors of Pack Wars events – both of which are Best-of-One formats: a Keeper Swiss League, and a 2-Player Phantom Queue.

The Magic Online game team will be away as part of Daybreak’s holiday period from December 25 to January 1.

• Customer Service will be working during this time, but responses may be delayed.
• Redemption orders placed between today and next Tuesday may be delayed by up to one week over normal timing.

Redemption Corner

Check out our Redemption page for full program rules and inventory levels (updated weekly). As a reminder, the game itself is the most current place to determine if there is stock remaining for Redemption Tokens.

Edge of Eternities regular redemption tokens have sold out! EOE Foil-for-regular inventory is getting low as well.

Tarkir: Dragonstorm is now completely out of stock. Outlaws of Thunder Junction foils-for-regular remain available in small quantities.

Note: Orders submitted after December 22^nd will be delayed up to one week due to Daybreak’s winter break.

Through the Omenpaths and Magic: The Gathering | Avatar: The Last Airbender are not redeemable sets.
