Holidays 2025 on Magic Online

Another calendar year of play on Magic Online has flown by, so it’s time for us to celebrate the holidays in style. Combining some old traditions with new ideas, we’re heading into 2026 with lots of great options to explore on Magic Online!

Vintage Cube is Back – and Bundled

We know you love Vintage Cube – it remains our most popular event by a fair margin. Over the next four weeks, there will be a lot of Cubing going on. So we’ve devised a way to get more value for your money – it’s the Vintage Cube Draft Bundle!

For $27 USD, you get the following:

• 3 Vintage Cube Draft Tokens – Each Token is an entry option into either a League course or an 8-player single-elimination draft starting Wednesday, December 17 – a savings of $1 per draft!
• An exclusive new player avatar featuring Appa, the Vigilant.

The Vintage Cube Draft Bundle itself is not tradeable nor are its contents. The Tokens expire when the Cube period ends with downtime on Wednesday, January 14, so be sure to use them all up (we’ll remove them at that time)!

The Skinny on the Cube Arrives Friday

So how will the Cube take shape? After all, this is the same version of the Cube that the players qualifying for the next MOCS Showcase will face in January. Our Cube curation gurus, Ryan Spain and Chris Wolf, will present their updates to the previous version from October in an article this Friday, December 12^th here on www.MTGO.com.

Test-Drive the Cube Twice Next Monday & Tuesday!

Are you or your friends dabbling on Magic Online for the first time in a while? This Cube thing sounds fun, but you’re worried about falling behind the pack when it comes to learning its ins and outs ... don’t fear, for a limited time, we’ll let you practice for free!

That’s right, you can test-drive drafting the Vintage Cube! Try out some wacky strategies and learn how to find your draft lane – all in preparation for the real League starting next Wednesday.

The Free Vintage Cube Preview League kicks off next Monday, December 15 at 8 a.m. PT (16:00 UTC) and runs until Wednesday, December 17 at 5 a.m. PT (13:00 UTC).

In order to enter the League, you’ll need to get yourself Draft Points. How do you acquire those? Enter the code 2025HOLIDAYS into the box in the Magic Online Store, just as shown below.

You can only redeem the code once on your account, but you will receive 2 Draft Points. Spend one of them to enter the draft queue, then play up to three single games with your Phantom draft deck. Then repeat this process once.

Win just one of those six total games and you’ll receive this event’s only prize - a special avatar featuring Toucan-Puffin!

We’ll clear out any leftover Draft Points once the League ends.

Trophy Avatar for Holidays Vintage Cube

For the first time, we’ll be giving players who complete a 3-0 trophy run in a Holidays Vintage Cube event by Friday, January 2^nd at 10 a.m. PT (either League or Single-Elimination) an exclusive, untradeable avatar featuring Toph, the First Metalbender!

All-Access Returns

The Mythic Event Token is back for the holiday season, so up to 16 days of All-Access can be yours!

To use the Mythic Event Token, simply purchase it in the Magic Online Store, build any legal deck in your chosen format, and enter a game or event. Be sure to set the Quantity slider in the Collection tab to 0 and tick the box on for Show Versions Separately so you can see all the options. No cards will be added to your collection, but you'll be able to play even if you don't have all the cards in your collection.

The token is $25.00 USD and goes on-sale next Wednesday, December 17 at 10 a.m. PT (18:00 UTC). The access will last from time of purchase until Friday, January 2 at 10 a.m. PT. We'll remove all the Mythic Event Tokens from accounts and turn off All-Access at that time. If you’re still competing in a Constructed League match when the access shuts off, you’ll only be able to complete that match. 

• Calling all Commander players! This is your chance to go wild with your ideas – throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks. You can even try variants in our Freeform Commander room or the 1v1 variant, Duel Commander.
• Play Premodern! Get your feet wet in Magic Online's newest format in the Contraption area under Constructed Specialty with a two-week Holiday League.
• Competitive players – this gives you the flexibility in deck choice in Constructed Leagues and Preliminaries/Format Challenges to grind Qualifier Points. 
• Everybody Else – it’s a perfect opportunity to get your friends together and battle in all sorts of casual games or dip your toes into Magic Online Leagues! 

Note: Just like previous All-Access periods, certain cards (Secret Lair versions, Battlebond, and old-frame Power Nine) are unavailable. Items sold in Bundles (TRANSFORMERS, WARHAMMER 40,000, Jurassic World, Phyrexian Oil Lands, etc) are also unavailable. All-Access doesn’t apply to Limited events.

Week of Super Qualifiers Returns!

Our tradition of competitive play at the end of the calendar year is strong, and this year is no exception. Between Friday, December 26 and Monday, December 30, there are 20 RC invitations up for grabs across five Super Qualifiers!

These tournaments feed the April-June round of tabletop Regional Championships that lead to the Pro Tour in July at MagicCon: Amsterdam.

As a reminder, Super Qualifiers can be entered using 40 Event Tickets, 400 Play Points, or 40 Season 1 Qualifier Points.

You can also enter one of those four Constructed Super Qualifiers by buying two Mythic Event Tokens and spending both as an alternative entry option. It’s a savings of $15 compared to buying one Mythic Token and 40 Event Tickets. Don’t worry, you’ll still have the access until January 2 even if the Token is no longer on your account in this case.
