Celebrate the 2025 Holidays with Magic Online!

Magic Online is pleased to celebrate the holiday season with an array of great promotions – some returning favorites and some new stuff!

• All-Access for $25 USD – from time of purchase until this Friday, January 2 – now at 6 p.m. PT (02:00 Saturday UTC)
  • The time has been extended by eight hours to cover a rescheduled Premier event – enjoy!
  • Reminder – if All-Access ends during a League match or scheduled event (Challenge or Prelim), your deck will no longer be valid to continue in the tournament unless you have all of its cards actually in your Collection!

PREMIER PLAY

Congratulations MOCS Season 3 Qualified Players

The dust has finally settled, and we now know who our eight competitors will be for the next MOCS Showcase! That event is coming up quickly in the new year – the tournament will be held Friday, January 9 and broadcast on Sunday, January 11. Look for our Viewers Guide article early next week.

Pioneer RC Super Qualifier Friday

Due to the issues with the MOCS Open a couple weeks ago, we re-arranged the schedule of the Week of Super Qualifiers a bit.

We have a Pioneer RC Super Qualifier that kicks off this Friday, January 2 at 7 a.m. PT (15:00 UTC)!

Because it was meant to be part of the Week of Super Qs, we are extending All-Access validity on Friday until this event concludes or 6 p.m. PT, whichever is later.

It takes 40 Season 1 Qualifier Points to join this event. The Top 4 finishers earn seats at the April-June tabletop Regional Championship round and prizes go down to 128^th place.

It's Showcase Challenge Weekend

A new MOCS season is underway, so it’s time to qualify the first players for the next round of Showcase Qualifiers in March & April. 

It takes 40 Season 1 Qualifier Points to enter a Showcase Challenge. The Top 8 finishers in each event earn a Championship Entry Token for the event’s format plus earn Leaderboard Points toward an At-Large berth in the next Showcase!

Be sure to review the MTGO Calendar as this season’s Showcase Challenges do not follow the normal cadence.

ALL THINGS CUBE

64-Player Vintage Cube Elimination Events Start Wednesday

As an extra set of bonus events over the holidays, Magic Online is pleased to bring back 64-Player Vintage Cube Elimination Drafts. These scheduled tournaments consist of four 8-player pods with three rounds of play, followed by the eight surviving competitors drafting again and playing down to a single winner.

Entry options are 15 Event Tickets or 150 Play Points. 64-Player events are scheduled for the following times each day between now and January 6:

• 6:30 a.m. PT (14:30 UTC)
• 10:30 a.m. PT (18:30 UTC)
• 2:30 p.m. PT (22:30 UTC)
• 6:30 p.m. PT (02:30 UTC next day)

EVENT UPDATES

Premodern Challenge Schedule This Week

Looking for some good competition in our newest game mode? We’ve shifted our Premodern Challenges and added a couple to help the format find a sweet spot. Here’s the slate of Challenges for the upcoming week:

• Thursday at 9 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC)
• Friday at 1 p.m. PT (21:00 UTC)
• Saturday at 3:30 p.m. PT (23:30 UTC)
• Sunday at 2 a.m. PT (10:00 UTC)
• Tuesday at 9 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC) (both today and on January 6)

Our goal over the holidays is to establish the best start times for the Premodern community, so that when All-Access ends this week, we have 3-4 dependable time slots across the weekly schedule. 

Premodern League Changeover Friday

With All-Access ending this Friday, a new version of the Premodern League will kick off at 6 p.m. PT (02:00 UTC Saturday) - this will last until the launch of Lorwyn Eclipsed on Tuesday, January 20 to sync up with most of our other Constructed Leagues.

Pack Wars! Zendikar Rising Continues

Attention Limited fans: We've taken a long-time favorite of Magic at big conventions and brought it into Magic Online. There are some who call it Mini-Master, but on Magic Online it’s Pack Wars!

Zendikar Rising is on now until January 7, then Lorwyn (the original) will take over.

There are two different flavors of Pack Wars events – both of which are Best-of-One formats: a Keeper Swiss League, and a 2-Player Phantom Queue.
