THE LEAD
Season of the Cube Starts Tomorrow – Frank Lepore’s Horror Cube!
Magic Online’s Season of the Cube kicks off tomorrow with Frank Lepore’s Horror Cube! Back for a third consecutive year, this Cube combines elements of Innistrad, Duskmourn, and many other planes – with a few dozen cards from the past year sprinkled in the mix.
You can check out Frank’s article and updated card list on this page. The fun begins at 10 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC) and runs until early next Wednesday. The Normal Cube League entry options and prize structure apply.
Vintage Cube League Closes Tomorrow
If you have any Vintage Cube Draft Tokens left to use, it’s last call! Remember to use those Tokens up by the end of the new League tomorrow at 10 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC). They expire at that time and will be cleared from accounts without a refund.
Visit Magic Online At LDXP This Weekend
We’re rolling into Tacoma, Washington this weekend at the Laughing Dragon event at Tacoma Convention Center. Come hang out with us at our booth. Say hi to MTGNerdGirl, Torbin, and MTGO_Tony - we will be there all weekend!
We’ll be on the show floor with tons of fun stuff lined up, plus giveaways and more.
Meet other fans who love Magic Online as much as you do and score some swag! Whether you’re dropping by to chat, play a few games, or just vibe, we’ve got something for everyone!
Through the Omenpaths Events Wrapping Up
We’re also approaching the end of our Through the Omenpaths leagues. Both the Sealed and Pick-1 Draft Leagues close tomorrow at 10 a.m. PT.
PREMIER PLAY
Pioneer in the Limelight This Weekend
The newest 60-card format is on full display this weekend. Who will take home the invites?
First up is the Pioneer RC Super Qualifier that starts this Saturday, November 1 at 7 a.m. PT (14:00 UTC). It takes 40 Event Tickets, 400 Play Points or 40 Season 3 Qualifier Points to enter this event.
The Top 4 finishers are invited to the first round of tabletop Regional Championships of 2026 in January-February, and prizes pay down to the Top 128!

Then on Sunday, November 2, eight more invitations to December’s Pioneer MOCS Showcase Qualifier are on the line in the Pioneer Showcase Challenge starting at 6 a.m. PT (14:00 UTC – see Daylight Savings note below)!
This event can only be entered with 40 Season 3 Qualifier Points. The Top 8 finishers in each event earn a Championship Entry Token for the event’s format plus earn Leaderboard Points toward an At-Large berth in the next Showcase!
For more information on these events, click the Premier Play Information link at the top of the Blog.
EVENT UPDATES
Daylight Savings in North America This Sunday
The clock falls back one hour in North America this Sunday, November 2 at 2 a.m. PT. Usually this has the effect of delaying the start of the first round after that time by up to one hour. We will keep the scheduled Challenge events in place – Legacy Challenge Saturday at 8 p.m. PT, Vintage Challenge Sunday at midnight PT, and the Phantom Sealed Trial Sunday at 1 a.m. PT.
The most important thing: if your local time zone is correct, the game will display accurate start times for events from Sunday onward.
Pack Wars! Innistrad Continues
Attention Limited fans: We've taken a long-time favorite of Magic at big conventions and brought it into Magic Online. There are some who call it Mini-Master, but on MTGO it’s Pack Wars! Innistrad runs until Wednesday, November 5, then the following format will be War of the Spark.

There are two different flavors of Pack Wars events – both of which are Best-of-One formats: a Keeper Swiss League, and a 2-Player Phantom Queue.
Get all the details in the Edge of Eternities set article!
Alternate Play Schedule
Here’s a look at the schedule of events coming up between now and Magic: The Gathering | Avatar: The Last Airbender. Each description mentions if the Draft is Phantom – cards won’t be added to players’ collections in Phantom events. All transitions take place at 10:00 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC) unless otherwise noted.

- December 17-January 20 – Holidays

Over 14 years have passed since Blazing Shoal was banned in Modern, and as time goes on, players wonder if this combo deck would still be strong enough to hold its own against the format's newest kingpins. Tune in tomorrow, Wednesday, October 29th 5pm PT on MTGO TV to find out who wins!
