THE LEAD

All-Access Returns Tomorrow

The Mythic Event Token is back for the lead-up to the Pro Tour in Amsterdam, so up to 14 days of All-Access can be yours!

To use the Mythic Event Token, simply purchase it in the MTGO Store, build any legal deck in your chosen format, and enter a game or event. Be sure to set the Quantity slider in the Collection tab to 0 and tick the box on for Show Versions Separately so you can see all the options. No cards will be added to your collection, but you'll be able to play even if you don't have all the cards in your collection.

The token is $25.00 USD and goes on sale tomorrow, July 1 at 10 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC). The access will last from time of purchase until Wednesday, July 15 at 10 a.m. PT. We'll remove all the Mythic Event Tokens from accounts and turn off All-Access at that time. If you’re still competing in a Constructed League match when the access shuts off, you’ll only be able to complete that match. 

• Competitive players – this gives you the flexibility in deck choice in Constructed Leagues and Preliminaries/Format Challenges to grind Qualifier Points for the next round of Showcase Challenges July 3-11. 
• Calling all Commander players! This is your chance to go wild with your ideas – throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks! You can even try variants in our Freeform Commander room or the 1v1 variant, Duel Commander.
• Five-Minute Modern – Try your hand at the latest Contraption format.
• Everybody Else – it’s a perfect opportunity to get your friends together and battle in all sorts of casual games or dip your toes into MTGO Leagues! 

Just like previous All-Access periods, certain cards (Secret Lair versions, Battlebond, and old-frame Power Nine) are unavailable. Items sold in Bundles (TRANSFORMERS, WARHAMMER 40,000, Jurassic World, Phyrexian Oil Lands, etc) are also unavailable. All-Access doesn’t apply to Limited events.Unlike most All-Access periods, there is no reason to purchase more than one Token per account this time because there are no Constructed Super Qualifiers with alternate entry options.

Vintage Cube League (Including the Bundle) Returns Tomorrow

The Vintage Cube League begins again tomorrow, July 1 at 10 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC) with the usual entry options of 10 Event Tickets or 100 Play Points. Single-elimination play will switch over to the new iteration of the Cube at that time. You can always view the current Vintage Cube list on this page.

As usual, we will be offering a Vintage Cube Bundle for $27 USD starting tomorrow. The Bundle includes 3 Vintage Cube Draft Tokens plus this set’s exclusive Bundle avatar featuring a premium foil treatment – The Incredible Hulk!

Each Token is good for one course of the Vintage Cube Draft League. Tokens are valid for entry until the League ends on Wednesday, July 29 – be sure to use up your Tokens by then as they are non-refundable!

Banned & Restricted Update

Yesterday, Wizards of the Coast announced a ban of Candalabra of Tawnos in Legacy. Similarly, the Pauper Format Committee banned Seeker of Skybreak. Both of these actions are now in effect on Magic Online.

PREMIER PLAY

Limited RC Super Qualifier Friday

It’s America’s 250^th birthday weekend – what better way is there to celebrate than sending more players to the next round of tabletop Regional Championships using Captain America and friends?

The Limited RC Super Qualifier begins this Friday, July 3 at 7 a.m. PT (14:00 UTC). It features Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes Sealed Deck with Top 8 Draft.

A Super Qualifier can be joined with 40 Event Tickets, 400 Play Points, or 40 Season 2 Qualifier Points. This tournament sends the top 4 players to the October-November RC in their home region, and it awards prizes to the Top 128!

It's Showcase Challenge Weekend

MOCS Season 2 rolls on, so it’s time to invite another group of players for the next round of Showcase Qualifiers in July and August.

It takes 40 Season 2 Qualifier Points to enter a Showcase Challenge. The Top 8 finishers in each event earn a Championship Entry Token for the event’s format plus earn Leaderboard Points toward an At-Large berth in the next Showcase!

EVENT UPDATES 

Pack Wars – Ravnica Remastered Continues

Pack Wars – the Magic Online space for Mini-Master – rolls on. Our meandering adventure across the multiverse continues with a return trip to Ravnica!

The idea is simple – crack a pack, add 2 of each basic land, and play a game. In the Keeper League, you then crack another pack, edit your deck, play a game ... and keep going until you have opened 4 packs and played 4 games!

This Keeper League is easy – 4 packs + 4 games (plus prizes if you do well) for just 4 Event Tickets or 40 Play Points!

Once RVR’s run ends on July 8, Foundations will be next up in Pack Wars!

Alternate Play Schedule

Here’s a look at the schedule of events coming up. Each description mentions if the Draft is Phantom – cards won’t be added to players’ collections in Phantom events. All transitions take place at 10:00 a.m. PT unless otherwise noted.

• July 1-29: Vintage Cube is back with updates from the newest set! (Phantom)
• July 29-August 5: A special mash-up of the two Marvel sets in a combined Limited experience – it's Marvel “Block” Sealed: 4 Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes boosters and 2 Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel’s Spider-Man packs!
• August 5-11: We have another old format Keeper draft to close out MSH season – it's Urza Block Draft!

PATCH NOTES – Wednesday, July 1

Card Fixes

• The Scarlet Witch will correctly reduce the cost of qualifying X spells.
• Hawkeye, Master Marksman will have extraneous blue text removed from its trigger.
• Rain of Riches, Alchemist’s Talent, and other abilities caring about mana from a Treasure being spent will correctly ignore mana from other artifact sources.
• Butcher Orgg will no longer reset the game when attacking a player with no creatures.
• Rhino, Terrible Trampler will no longer crash the game when choosing targets.
• Distant Memories will no longer cause the game to fail to progress.

The next scheduled maintenance is Wednesday, August 5 from 9 a.m. to noon PT (16:00-19:00 UTC). This is to support the release of Magic: The Gathering® | The Hobbit™.
