Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel’s Spider-Man on Magic Online

One of the most iconic characters in the Marvel multiverse slings into action this week! Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel's Spider-Man (set code SPM) debuts on Magic Online following downtime this Tuesday, June 16.

We expect to be live at approximately 12 noon Pacific time (19:00 UTC). Be sure to follow our social media outlets (Discord, BlueSky and more) to keep real-time tabs on this release.

Past the Omenpaths

Through the Omenpaths boosters will be taken off the virtual shelf once Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel's Spider-Man goes on sale, at which point cards from both sets will coexist in our game’s ecosystem.

This will represent a first for Magic Online: cards with different names but identical functionality that are treated by deck-construction and gameplay rules as though they have the same name. For example:

• You can have no more than four total copies of The Soul Stone and The Terminus of Infinity in a Constructed deck/sideboard
• If you name or choose The Soul Stone for an effect, it will affect The Terminus of Infinity and vice-versa
• The legend rule will apply if a copy of each is on your side of the battlefield

This also applies to text searches and filtering, so searching for The Soul Stone in your collection will show any copies of The Terminus of Infinity that you have as well.

Play Boosters

Each SPM Play Booster will sell for $3.99 USD in the Magic Online Store starting on Tuesday following downtime and contains 1-4 rare/mythics.

For this set, the composition is:

• 7 non-foil commons
  • 1 in 24 Play Boosters will have a common replaced by a Borderless Source Material card
• 3 non-foil uncommons
• 1 non-foil rare or mythic
• 1 non-foil wildcard – that is, a non-foil of any rarity
• 1 traditional foil wildcard – a foil in every pack!
• 1 basic land – standard-frame, tap-dual, or full-art web, in either non-foil or traditional foil

Premium Boosters & Bundle

For those who want some bling from this set, we have a slimmed-down version of the Premium Booster!

The Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel’s Spider-Man Premium 7-Card Booster will sell for $5 USD in the Store starting Tuesday. Here’s the layout – each Premium booster contains 4 rares/mythics and at least 5 foils:

• 1 regular Booster Fun rare/mythic

Events

Magic Online will offer a Competitive Sealed League for this set lasting just seven days. It will commence at the end of downtime and run until the release of Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes™ (set code MSH) on Tuesday, June 23.

Normal Competitive Sealed League entry options and prize structures will apply.

Treasure Chest Update

Treasure Chests will not have SPM Booster Fun versions when MSH goes on sale on June 23.

The following Treasure Chest update will occur on Wednesday, July 22 and will have this set’s Booster Fun.

Odds and Ends

• Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel’s Spider-Man © 2026 MARVEL
• This set will not be redeemable.
• Constructed events will not rotate to new versions until MSH launches next week.
  • Cards in SPM will be legal in Constructed decks immediately following downtime.
• New Account Kits opened following downtime will include Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel's Spider-Man commons instead of Through the Omenpaths
  • The Account Upgrade Kit, Collection Upgrade Kit, and Commander Workshop will not be updated with this set.
