2026 Season 1 MOCS Showcase This Sunday, June 7 at 9 a.m. PT on YouTube

Eight of Magic Online’s top players have earned the right to battle for their share of $50,000 & two invitations to the 2026 Magic World Championship in the 2026 MOCS Season 1 Showcase which takes place this weekend. This is the pinnacle of competition on MTGO, so be sure to tune in!

Catch all the action in Vintage Cube and Modern with the powerhouse casting crew of Marshall Sutcliffe, Eli Kassis, and Hall of Famer Reid Duke! Coverage starts Sunday, June 7 at 9 a.m. PT (16:00 UTC) only on the MTGO channel on YouTube.

Five-Minute Modern Starts Tomorrow in Contraption

The newest experimental format on Magic Online, Five-Minute Modern, kicks off its League starting tomorrow, June 3 at 10 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC)! You can find the League and open-play rooms under Constructed -> Specialty.

• Best-of-One, 5-minute timers for each player
• Modern format with a few extra bans
• No access to sideboards

The League has 6 single-game rounds for either 6 Event Tickets or 60 Play Points, and prizes start after the third win in a course. Enjoy!

Vintage Supreme Draft Returns Tomorrow

Magic Online is bringing back Vintage Supreme Draft again! It runs from tomorrow at 10 a.m. until the next downtime on Tuesday, June 16.

Our resident Cubemeister Chris Wolf has updated this format, adding new cards to explore the highest reaches of the power curve. You can check out his article and full list on this page.

The normal Cube League entry options – 10 Event Tickets or 100 Play Points – and prize structures apply.

Two-Day, Free-Play Pride Celebration League Next Week - Exclusive Avatar & Format

For the first time, Magic Online will feature an event celebrating Pride Month! We hope you’ll make time early next week to try this unique, free-to-play experience that everyone can enjoy.

Our team has mashed up the Strixhaven sets in a novel Phantom Sealed format – 4 packs of Strixhaven: School of Mages and 4 packs of Secrets of Strixhaven! Play up to four single-game matches with this card pool.

How do you join the League? Input the code STRIXHAVEN26 into the MTGO Store to receive 2 Limited Points – that's the item you spend to join the League – and an untradeable, premium-treatment Transcendent Archaic avatar!

Each account can input the code just once, so you can do two total courses of this League. There are no additional prizes in the League – it's just for fun!

The Pride Celebration League begins next Monday, June 8 at 10 a.m. PT and closes for new entries Wednesday, June 10 at 10 a.m.

Vintage Cube League Closes Tomorrow

This round of Vintage Cube League is winding down – if you still have some Vintage Cube Draft Tokens left over, be sure to use them by tomorrow at 10 a.m. PT. Tokens left over after that time will be cleared from accounts and are non-refundable.

As usual, the Vintage Cube single-elimination queue will remain live with the current configuration of the Cube until the next League begins on July 1.

CEDH Single-Game Events for Prizes – Now 35 Minutes Per Player

Magic Online has given competitive Commander players their own spot to play for prizes. It’s our CEDH Queue – a single-game, four-player Commander match with prizes just to the winner!

Based on community feedback, players now receive 35 minutes on their timer. Entry options will be 4 Event Tickets & 40 Play Points, and the winner will receive 100 Play Points and 2 Treasure Chests as prize.

PREMIER PLAY

Two RC Super Qualifiers This Weekend

Eight more seats for the next round tabletop Regional Championships are at stake across a pair of Magic Online events this weekend!

First, a Limited RC Super Qualifier featuring Secrets of Strixhaven Sealed Deck with top 8 Draft begins Saturday, June 7 at 7 a.m. PT (14:00 UTC).

Then on Sunday at 7 a.m., we will host a Modern RC Super Qualifier.

A Super Qualifier can be joined with 40 Event Tickets, 400 Play Points, or 40 Season 2 Qualifier Points. Each of these tournaments see the top 4 players go to the October-November RC in their home region and they award prizes to the Top 128!

EVENT UPDATES 

Pack Wars – Khans of Tarkir Continues

Pack Wars – the Magic Online space for Mini-Master – rolls on. Our meandering adventure across the multiverse continues with Khans of Tarkir!

The idea is simple – crack a pack, add 2 of each basic land, and play a game. In the Keeper League, you then crack another pack, edit your deck, play a game ... and keep going until you have opened 4 packs and played 4 games!

This Keeper League is easy – 4 packs + 4 games (plus prizes if you do well) for just 4 Event Tickets or 40 Play Points!

Alternate Play Schedule

Here’s a look at the schedule of events coming up between now and the next set release in June. Each description mentions if the Draft is Phantom – cards won’t be added to players’ collections in Phantom events. All transitions take place at 10:00 a.m. PT unless otherwise noted.

• Through June 3 – Vintage Cube is back with updates from the newest set, plus it will support the next MOCS Showcase in early June! (Phantom)
• June 3-16 – Vintage Supreme Draft returns for two weeks – the pick-2-and-toss-em format with a custom setup (including duplicates for key archetypes). This will be updated with new cards unlike the last run. (Phantom)
• June 8-9 – Our first-ever Pride Celebration event combines the two Strixhaven sets in a free-to-play League – see details in The Lead above. (Phantom)
• June 16-23 – We'll close out SOS season and lead up to Magic Online’s 24^th birthday by bringing back the original favorite draft format: Invasion Block Draft! (Keeper – yes, really!)

Redemption Corner – SOS Supplies Dwindling

Check out our Redemption page for full program rules and inventory levels (updated weekly). As a reminder, the presence of the items in the Store is your best guide to determine when a particular Token sells out.

Secrets of Strixhaven redemption tokens – both regular and foil-for-regular – are now available in the Store but are down to the final third of stock levels. So get those sets completed and redeemed before they sell out!

NEXT SCHEDULED DOWNTIME – June 16, 9 a.m.-Noon

The next scheduled maintenance is now Tuesday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to noon PT (16:00-19:00 UTC). This is to support the release of both Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel's Spider-Man (immdiately following downtime) and Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes (June 23).
