THE LEAD
MOCS Postseason Continues This Weekend
It’s time once again to qualify players for the next Magic Online Champions Showcase in June! This weekend, Top 8 finishers from Showcase Challenges and 5-win players from Last Chance events (see Premier Play below) will battle until one remains as this season’s Showcase Champion for that format.

In addition to reaching the Champions Showcase (with its $50,000 prize pool and two invitations to the 2026 World Championship), the winner of each Showcase Qualifier is invited to Pro Tour Amsterdam plus the Regional Championship round in April-May feeding that event. Leaderboard Points are also on the line as players seek one of two At-Large invites at the end of the postseason.
Here’s the schedule:

Replays Are Back!
After almost an entire year, our team has finally cracked the code to make sure replays are a usable feature on Magic Online. They employ the same functionality as before with the Continuous Play, Click-By-Click, and Skip Turn controls.
This also means the Customer Support team can watch replays, including in-game chat. Please refer to the Game ID number (9 digits starting with a 9) in help tickets or forum reports to make it easier for our teams to view issues.
Vintage Cube League & QPs for Single Elim End Tomorrow
The Vintage Cube League wraps up tomorrow, April 1 at 10 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC). Be sure to use your leftover Vintage Cube Tokens by that time as they are non-refundable.
Your window to use Season 1 Qualifier Points for the single-elimination Vintage Cube queue also ends at the same time tomorrow.
Both the Tokens and the QPs will be cleared from accounts once they expire.
EVENT UPDATES
Modern Horizons Draft League – 1 Week Starting Tomorrow
The original Modern Horizons returns as a keeper league for the first time since 2019, but for one week only!
Entry Options are 15 Event Tickets, 150 Play Points, 3 MH1 boosters + 2 Tickets, or 3 MH1 boosters + 20 Play Points.
Prizes are as follows:
- 3-0: 3 MH1 Boosters, 150 Play Points, and 2 Season 2 QPs
- 2-1: 1 MH1 Booster and 100 Play Points
Contraption – 2-Year Standard – Regular League Underway
It’s time for another format to take the baton in Contraption, our rotating ruleset space.
What if Standard had rotated on the normal schedule when Edge of Eternities dropped last year? Let’s find out what’s possible in 2-Year Standard!
This format covers every Standard-legal set from Bloomburrow forward. The cards in those sets currently on the Standard ban list are also banned for this format: Cori-Steel Cutter, Heartfire Hero, Screaming Nemesis, and Vivi Ornitier.
- Our normal League began last week and runs until Secrets of Strixhaven launches on April 21.
- A handful of Challenge 32 events will be sprinkled across the schedule over the second and third weeks of April at the same days and times as No-Banned-List Modern.
Depending on popularity, we’ll decide on whether to extend this format past that time.
Duel Commander B&R Update and Timing Changes
The Duel Commander Committee announced its latest list of updates yesterday, mirroring regular Commander’s move of unbanning Lutri, the Stormchaser but banning it as a companion. The new version of that League is live now and runs through late May.
Starting with that League, Duel Commander matches now use the same 25 minutes per player timer setting used in all competitive 1v1 matches.
Pack Wars LCI Starts Tomorrow!
Starting tomorrow, Pack Wars will take a two-week descent into The Lost Caverns of Ixalan.

We'll be back to offering both keeper and phantom version of Pack Wars - details are found here. The Keeper League is just 4 Event Tickets or 40 Play Points
Alternate Play Schedule
Here’s a look at the schedule of events coming up between now and Secrets of Strixhaven in April. Each description mentions if the Draft is Phantom – cards won’t be added to players’ collections in Phantom events. All transitions take place at 10:00 a.m. PT unless otherwise noted.
- April 1-8 – Modern Horizons draft – the original. (Keeper)
- April 8-15 – Modern Horizons 2 draft – the sequel. (Keeper)
- We will have a different entry and prize structure than previous runs of these two events.
- April 15-21 – Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty is back to finish off TMT season. (Keeper)
When Do Vintage Cube Leagues Return?
- May 6-June 3 – SOS/Late Spring Update to support MOCS
