MOCS Opens This Weekend – Last Shot at PT Amsterdam Invite!
Congratulations to last weekend’s Showcase Qualifier winners: Vintage Champion Shuichi_Saito and Legacy Champion einstein9998. They’ll join Modern and Standard Champions teichou_aisu and filpin in June's MOCS Showcase!
We are down to the final weekend of qualification events, and the last chances to score an invitation are in the MOCS Opens this Saturday and Sunday, April 11-12. Leaderboard Points are also on the line as players seek one of two At-Large invites at the end of the postseason.

Featuring Lorwyn Eclipsed Sealed Deck with a Top 8 Draft, this is your opportunity to spike a tournament for a big payoff! Join with 40 Event Tickets or 400 Play Points, and prizes are rewarded to the Top 64.
In addition to reaching the Champions Showcase (with its $50,000 prize pool and two invitations to the 2026 World Championship), the winner of each Showcase Open is invited to Pro Tour Amsterdam plus the Regional Championship round in April-May feeding that event.

Secrets of Strixhaven Article Next Week
Watch this space next Tuesday, April 14 for our article with all the details on Secrets of Strixhaven, available for play and purchase beginning April 21.
Secrets of Strixhaven Beta Begins Friday – Sign Up Today!
Want to help us squish bugs and test card functionality while getting a first look at the newest set? MTGO’s Closed Beta Program is just the place! Our normal Cardset betas involve playing a selection of complicated cards against a curated set of wordy and weird cards from MTGO’s history. A Sealed Deck League will be available, and Commander games are encouraged.
To apply for the program, submit a ticket at help.mtgo.com - choose Apply to Beta Program as the subject, fill out the form, and agree to the Terms. If you're admitted to the Program, you will be invited to join us for the Secrets of Strixhaven Beta round starting this Friday, April 10.
Replays Are Back!
After almost an entire year, our team has finally cracked the code to make sure replays are a usable feature on Magic Online. They employ the same functionality as before with the Continuous Play, Click-By-Click, and Skip Turn controls.
This also means the Customer Support team can watch replays, including in-game chat. Please refer to the Game ID number (9 digits starting with a 9) in help tickets or forum reports to make it easier for our teams to view issues.
EVENT UPDATES
Modern Horizons 2 Draft League – 1 Week Starting Tomorrow
While our week of Modern Horizons is ending, next up is Modern Horizons 2!
Entry Options include 12 Event Tickets, 120 Play Points, 3 MH2 boosters + 2 Tickets, or 3 MH2 boosters + 20 Play Points.
Prizes are as follows:
- 3-0: 3 MH2 Boosters, 150 Play Points, and 2 Season 2 QPs
- 2-1: 1 MH2 Booster and 100 Play Points
Contraption – 2-Year Standard – Regular League Underway
It’s time for another format to take the baton in Contraption, our rotating ruleset space.
What if Standard had rotated on the normal schedule when Edge of Eternities dropped last year? Let’s find out what’s possible in 2-Year Standard!
This format covers every Standard-legal set from Bloomburrow forward. The cards in those sets currently on the Standard ban list are also banned for this format: Cori-Steel Cutter, Heartfire Hero, Screaming Nemesis, and Vivi Ornitier.
- Our normal League runs until Secrets of Strixhaven launches on April 21.
- A handful of Challenge 32 events will be sprinkled across the schedule over the second and third weeks of April at the same days and times as No-Banned-List Modern.
Depending on popularity, we’ll decide on whether to extend this format past that time.
Pack Wars LCI – One Week Left
Pack Wars continues the descent into The Lost Caverns of Ixalan with one week remaining in its 2-week run.

We'll be back to offering both keeper and phantom versions of Pack Wars - details are found here. The Keeper League is just 4 Event Tickets or 40 Play Points
Alternate Play Schedule
Here’s a look at the schedule of events coming up between now and Secrets of Strixhaven in April. Each description mentions if the Draft is Phantom – cards won’t be added to players’ collections in Phantom events. All transitions take place at 10:00 a.m. PT unless otherwise noted.
- April 8-15 – Modern Horizons 2 draft – the sequel. (Keeper)
- April 15-21 – Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty is back to finish off TMT season. (Keeper)
When Do Vintage Cube Leagues Return?
- May 6-June 3 – SOS/Late Spring Update to support MOCS
