THE LEAD
MOCS Postseason Begins This Weekend
It’s time once again to qualify players for the next Magic Online Champions Showcase in June! Over the next two weekends, Top 8 finishers from Showcase Challenges and 5-win players from Last Chance events (see Premier Play below) will battle until one remains as this season’s Showcase Champion for that format.

In addition to reaching the Champions Showcase (with its $50,000 prize pool and two invitations to the 2026 World Championship), the winner of each Showcase Qualifier is invited to Pro Tour Amsterdam plus the Regional Championship round in April-May feeding that event. Leaderboard Points are also on the line as players seek one of two At-Large invites at the end of the postseason.

Replays Are Back!
After almost an entire year, our team has finally cracked the code to make sure replays are a usable feature on Magic Online. They employ the same functionality as before with the Continuous Play, Click-By-Click, and Skip Turn controls.
This also means the Customer Support team can watch replays, including in-game chat. Please refer to the Game ID number (9 digits starting with a 9) in help tickets or forum reports to make it easier for our teams to view issues.
Vintage Cube League Continues
Our test cadence of having the Magic Online Vintage Cube up as often as we can continues. Check out Chris Wolf’s article for the latest list and archetype shake-ups.
The Vintage Cube League continues until Wednesday, April 1 at 10 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC) with the usual entry options of 10 Event Tickets or 100 Play Points. Single-elimination play will switch over to the new iteration of the Cube at that time. You can always view the current Vintage Cube list on this page.
As usual, we are offering a Vintage Cube Bundle for $27 USD. The Bundle includes 3 Vintage Cube Draft Tokens plus this set’s exclusive Bundle avatar – Krang, Master Mind!

Each Token is good for one course of the Vintage Cube Draft League. Tokens are valid for entry until the League ends – be sure to use up your Tokens by then as they are non-refundable!
Leftover Season 1 QPs Usable in Vintage Cube Single Elim March 25-April 1
If you have 12 or more Yellow MOCS Season 1 Qualifier Points left on account, you will be able to use them for free entries into the single-elimination Vintage Cube queue starting tomorrow for a week. The QPs will expire April 1 at 10 a.m. PT.

Note that unlike past seasons, the Last Chance Schedule does not correspond to Preliminary times (however, all Constructed Preliminaries are still pre-empted during this period).
MOCS Season 2 Begins Tomorrow
It’s time to earn and spend your last Qualifier Points for MOCS Season 1. Earning concludes on Wednesday, March 25 following the start of the final Last Chance Event.
Here are the events remaining where you can spend QPs:
- March 22-25 – Showcase Last Chance Events
- Requires 30 Event Tickets or 300 Play Points in addition to 40 QPs
- March 25-April 1 – Use excess QPs to play the Vintage Cube Single Elimination queue!
- 12 (Yellow) Season 1 QPs per entry
The Premier Play schedule for the upcoming season is now live on its web page.
EVENT UPDATES
TMT Draft & Competitive Sealed Events End Tomorrow + ECL Draft Returns
As we originally announced in the TMT article, the Draft League is ending tomorrow at 10 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC). If you have any TMT Draft Entry Tokens still on hand, this is the last day to use them.
The Competitive Sealed League will also end tomorrow as originally posted in the game. The Friendly Sealed League will remain active for the remainder of TMT season. Constructed Challenges & Trials will continue to award TMT set prizes throughout the rest of the season.
In addition to our Alternate Play offerings listed below, we will be bringing back the Lorwyn Eclipsed Draft League tomorrow for the next three weeks at the same price and prizes as during its own season.
Contraption – 2-Year Standard Debuts Tomorrow!
What if Standard had rotated on the normal schedule when Edge of Eternities dropped last year? Let’s find out what’s possible in 2-Year Standard!
This format covers every Standard-legal set from Bloomburrow forward. The cards in those sets currently on the Standard ban list are also banned for this format: Cori-Steel Cutter, Heartfire Hero, Screaming Nemesis, and Vivi Ornitier.
- We’ll start out with a one-week Friendly League as a warm-up that runs until April 1.
- Then a regular League will run for three weeks until Secrets of Strixhaven launches on April 20.
- A handful of Challenge 32 events will be sprinkled across the schedule over the second and third weeks of April at the same days and times as No-Banned-List Modern.
Depending on popularity, we’ll decide on whether to extend this format past that time.
Duel Commander B&R and Timing Changes Next Week
The Duel Commander Committee will be announcing its next set of updates to their format next Monday around 11 a.m. PT (18:00 UTC). Soon afterward, the current DC League will close and a new one will be posted.
Starting with that League, Duel Commander matches will use the same 25 minutes per player timer setting used in competitive 1v1 matches. This matches the setting used for Scheduled Events.
Pack Wars Onslaught Block Continues
Attention Limited fans: We've taken a long-time favorite of Magic at big conventions and brought it into Magic Online. There are some who call it Mini-Master, but on Magic Online it’s Pack Wars!
We continue with Onslaught Block for another week!

We’re going back to the normal $4 entry level and its normal prize structure found here. The booster + Play Points option will only accept Onslaught boosters.
The packs in the Keeper League will be distributed in this order:
- Onslaught
- Legions
- Scourge
- Onslaught
Because multiple sets are being used, Phantom Pack Wars will not run during this period.
Next week, Pack Wars will visit The Lost Caverns of Ixalan.
Alternate Play Schedule
Here’s a look at the schedule of events coming up between now and Secrets of Strixhaven in April. Each description mentions if the Draft is Phantom – cards won’t be added to players’ collections in Phantom events. All transitions take place at 10:00 a.m. PT unless otherwise noted.
- Through April 1 – The Vintage Cube returns for a three-week run. (Phantom)
- April 1-8 – Modern Horizons draft – the original. (Keeper)
- April 8-15 – Modern Horizons 2 draft – the sequel. (Keeper)
- We will have a different entry and prize structure than previous runs of these two events.
- April 15-21 – Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty is back to finish off TMT season. (Keeper)
When Do Vintage Cube Leagues Return?
- March 11-April 1 – Spring Vintage Cube Update
- May 6-June 3 – SOS/Late Spring Update to support MOCS
